What is an Empirico-Transcendental Doublet?

Googling (nice new term!) this particular question didn’t give me any instant results within my FireFox and so I had to research a little longer in the depths of the dark blue sea called internet and dig up some Foucault-shells.

An Empirico-Transcendental Doublet is (the eternal struggle of) man between everything that can be empirically observed (such as our bodies, the physical world around us, Newton’s theorems) and between the unseizable, the transcendental (such as the political constructs around us, our Ego, religion).

Or to keep it still a little shorter for the fast paced surfer apt to surf away within 4.3 seconds:

An Empirico-Transcendental Doublet is the human being: Torn between the physical environment and the unseizable thoughts and mental constructs. Those two binary positions won’t ever become congruent.

While writing this I came to think… I no longer exist as an empirico-transcendental doublet. I am only these very words on your screen. Am I now transcendental or empiric?
