I said that I would post something creative at least once a week. That was more than two weeks ago or so. Well, in fact I was busy with my newest tutorial for AEtuts+ introducing Nuke to After Effects users, so you might want to check it out for. But those big projects aside there are always some small projects which are as interesting as versatile. This time: Another font.

The Backstory
Jürgen 'Jot' Brunner, a dear friend of mine is working more or less alone on a whole indie-game by himself, and since I played some betas so far I can say: I love its atmosphere and how its presented and I bet you'll think so too if you know Braid. And Jot was looking for some 70's computer-type font, that was technical yet playful. So I sat one afternoon in the café, caffeinated myself close to cardiac arrest and started painting glyphs.
I oriented myself on digital types, the old utopian computer fonts but tried to always keep the proportions a bit bell-bottomed. Lucky Jot liked as much as I the fact that a

Max, a former fellow student, asked me a few weeks ago whether I was interested in buying some old gaming consoles with a bunch of games from him. Since I started collecting and maintaining old computers and gaming consoles a couple of years ago, starting with the few I had since I was a kid, I was interested in Max’ offer, expecting not more than a few dusty plastic boxes with missing cables and scratched game discs with broken jewel cases to add to my museum. Man, was I wrong!

So yesterday I finally had the cash together and some time to pick up the heavy packing case with tons of 1990's state of the art consoles. There was a a black Game Boy pocket, a painted PlayStation ("it glows under a UV-lamp"), a SNES with 50/60 Hz switch ("So you could play Japanese titles as well"), Nintendo 64 with memory extension, a Sega Dreamcast with modem and keyboard and a Sega Genesis with 32x extension and SEGA-CD drive, something so bulky that you just gotta love it. Yep, once again another little electronic piece in minor key. I don’t know what struck me today, I guess an overall mood of gloom, melancholy, boredom and nose bleed were the ingredients to the situation that had led to this point.
I guess it was one of those days where the simple act of waking up exhausted me so much that everything I did felt so mind numbing and tedious like following a paper trail.

It’s been only two days since my resolution to post something creative at least once a week and here I am now, already posting some new music. Looks like I am currently floating on a wave of dark electronic, but still I’m strumming with my guitars every day now for at least half an hour, so let’s see when there’s a new guitar piece out there as well…

On a related note I decided to changed my alias as music producing artist from texx sound to Seph Carissa. I've been pondering than for quite a while now and waited for the right name to find me. So there it is, texx is gone, Seph takes over. Why? Long story. Too long to tell, so you I suggest you only listen.
My new track, Vaccine, it a little inspired by recently watching 28 Weeks Later and I wanted to try something longer and more cinematic for a change. So I hope you enjoy it!
