BleepCast – Level 8
Posted in BleepCast, Games, People, Retro
Oh my god — it’s a bonus level! It’s a bonus to past BleepCast levels where I want to add a few of things or just pop in particular personal perspectives. And now there’s finally a way to do so! This bonus level deals with some awesome music for the SNES I totally forgot to play; and then there was this… misconception in BleepCast Level 1 that I need to fix — bleep-style! -

BleepCast – Level 2
Posted in BleepCast, Games, Rants
This new episode of the BleepCast is all about ninjas, the sneaky Japanese spies that overran games & movies in the 80′s and have either gradually disappeared or gradually perfected their stealth since their first appearance in 1983 on the CoCo. A shinobi may be silent but their quests have always been accompanied by some epic exotic scores. Let’s follow the ninja and listen to his melodies. -

BleepCast – Level 1

There it is, what you haven’t been waiting for ever since: The BleepCast podcast is all about chip-music, retro gaming and memories from the good old times when we all were young and begun having no life, instead indulging in shitty games with shitty music, or as we call it: “Classics with epic soundtracks”. So if you want me to take you back to the past to play the shitty games that suck ass, then you just discovered your favorite podcast! -

I said that I would post something creative at least once a week. That was more than two weeks ago or so. Well, in fact I was busy with my newest tutorial for AEtuts+ introducing Nuke to After Effects users, so you might want to check it out for. But those big projects aside there are always some small projects which are as interesting as versatile. This time: Another font. -

Alone in the Dark
Posted in Dear Diary, Games, Reviews, Video
A premiere here on the Promenade Blog: my first video post! And it’s a rant about the new Alone in the Dark by Eden Games. So if you can stand my voice and my thick accent when talking English then feel free to click the play button. If you prefer to read and click some links: No problemo, what is said can be read here as well. A weekend well spent…
Enjoy!DISCLAIMER: No, I don’t hate the game, in fact it’s quite entertaining. But I needed to vent my anger that I am unable to handle the game controls well. And I die a lot! -

♫ Video Game Music
Posted in Games, Music, Seph Carissa / texx sound
I have been quite productive during the holidays but still wasn’t able to finish the last part of the Zodiac Font Family. But about a month ago I finished Contact for the DS. Especially some tunes of the music still linger in the back of my head but back then I wanted to make something in the style of the Battle music of a Japanese RPG. And before that I was layouting a couple of tunes for Jonny 1 Hennebichler’s computer game concept Skyscrapers, a mix between Bridge Builder, SimTower and a little Hotel Giant. Although it’s never going to be made I think the tunes came off quite nicely. And because today’s my birthday I want them to be your present too.- yes, Johnny without the “h”. Jonny. ↩
